The picture is hung in the Stancomb Wills Gallery with other monochrome works.  The selection panel were; Vanessa Boni, Dr Katie Davies RWA, Chris Dunseath FRBS RWA, Laura Gascoigne, Stewart Geddes PRWA, Stephen Jacobson VPRWA, Debbie Locke RWA, Fiona Robinson RWA, Elizabeth Turrell RWA, Lara Wardle.  Around 600 works were selected from 3200 entries.

Wells Art Contemporary, a leading open exhibition for international contemporary art. Following an international open call, 123 works by 118 artists were selected from a total of 1,397 submissions from 26 different countries, the highest number of entries in the history of the Awards. The selection was made by a panel of leading figures from the art world including Caroline Walker, artist; Harry Borden, artist; Donald Smith, Director of Exhibitions, Chelsea Space; Julian Wild, artist; Peter Randall-Page, artist, and Tali Lennox, artist.  I am delighted that Colourist's Backyard has been shortlisted for the Wells Art Contemporary Awards 2018.  The selected works will be shown at the historic Bishop’s Palace & Gardens in Wells, Somerset, from 6 - 21 October 2018,

Abandoned Look Out aquatint reaches final hang for 250th Summer Exhibition at the Royal Academy.

Out of 20,000 entries this print made it to the final hang but sadly not on to the wall.  It was thrilling to get to the final cut.  This year’s Summer Exhibition has been coordinated by Grayson Perry RA. The hanging committee includes Royal Academicians Allen Jones, Chris Orr, Christopher Le Brun, Conrad Shawcross, Cornelia Parker, David Mach, Emma Stibbon, Humphrey Ocean, Phyllida Barlow, Piers Gough and Tom Phillips.

This year's of panel of selectors included Marie-Anne McQuay, Head of Programme at Bluecoat, Liverpool, writer, curator and lecturer James Russell and Joseph Clarke, director of Anima-Mundi, alongside RWA President Stewart Geddes and Academicians Stephen Jacobson, John Maine, Rachel Ara and Sara Dudman.
